The federal tax credits ended.
Your state rebates didn't.
Since January 2026, the money for heat pumps, insulation and home electrification comes from programs that differ in every state — and change without notice. We track all 51 jurisdictions, verify each program against official sources, and date-stamp every page.
What you'll find here
- Rebates by state — the live index: which programs are open, how much they pay, who qualifies, with the date we last verified each one. 9 states confirmed live so far.
- Real costs — what heat pumps, insulation and panel upgrades actually cost installed, before and after incentives.
- Honest comparisons — heat pump vs. furnace, ducted vs. ductless, brand vs. brand, written for homeowners, not for manufacturers.
- Weekend efficiency projects — the cheap fixes that cut bills before you spend a dollar on equipment.
How we work
Every number on this site links to its source. Program pages carry a "last verified" date because rebate funding runs out and rules change mid-year. When we haven't confirmed something yet, we say so instead of guessing. Read more about our method.
