The federal 25C and 25D tax credits expired on December 31, 2025. What remains are the state-administered Home Energy Rebates (HEAR and HOMES) plus utility programs — launched at different times, with different rules, and with funding that can run out. This index tracks the real status of each jurisdiction.

Each state page lists the programs that exist there, what they pay, income requirements where they apply, and a link to the official application. We record the date we last checked. When a state hasn't launched yet, we say what's known about timing instead of guessing.
